 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! |
The Poodles are proud to announce their new worldwide partnership with Frontiers Records, which will kick off with the world wide release of the group’s long awaited live-DVD, “In the Flesh” and the accompanying live-album “No Quarter” before the end of 2010, followed by The Poodles’ fourth studio album in early 2011.
The band promises that the forthcoming studio album will be something extraordinary; a modern take on a classic rock n’ roll epic. Fans of the band will recognize themselves while the journey will take them to unchartered waters. Non-believers will get an opportunity to reappraise their beliefs and take the music of The Poodles to their hearts. The producer of “Clash of the Elements”, Mats Valentin, is once again the Captain of the new adventure and will take the band further along the road they started on together in 2009.
Since the release of The Poodles’ third studio effort, “Clash of the Elements”, the band has received and discussed several offers from potential collaborators in anticipation of future releases. After long and careful consideration, the band chose to go with Frontiers Records, a powerful independent label with a strong passion for rock music and an equally strong desire to work with The Poodles and to develop the band’s presence in all territories.
Henrik, Kicken, Jakob and Pontus are excited and eager to see the new business venture unfold and they have high expectations on what the partnership will bring in the near future. Jake Samuel, the lead singer of The Poodles says that “The most important thing in any collaboration is a shared vision of what one wants to accomplish. In our case, that vision must come from a deep love for rock n’ roll, mutual respect and willingness to do whatever it takes to reach your goals. I think we have found those qualities in Frontiers Records”.

WEATHER FORECAST, ANYONE? |
 The weather hasn't really been pulling in our favor lately. Munich, last Friday – pouring rain, Visby, Wednesday – thunder, Borås, Thursday – pouring rain, Helsingborg, yesterday – hard winds but we've pulled it off and we've been having a great time despite the weather. A huge thank you to all you brave people who ride out the storms and still come and watch the shows, YOU'RE GREAT!
One can't help but wondering what will be next, hail, a tornado, what?
Looking out my hotel room window today looks kind of promising as we're heading up to Sävsjö tonight. Still to early to tell I guess but we're keeping our fingers crossed.

GRÖNA LUND ON TUESDAY! |
Thanks everyone for a great time last weekend in Laholm and at Rockstad Falun, we had a fabulous time. Tonight we have retreated to the western parts of Sweden and are just about to get ready to play Borås. On Tuesday June 8, at 8 PM we hit the stage at Gröna Lund, Stockholm.

HAMBURG CANCELLED! |
We are very sorry to inform everybody that we have to cancel the show in Hamburg on Tuesday. Being on tour is a fantastic thing but you never know what bugs/viruses you will pick up along the way. Unfortunally this is what happened at the end of this tour . We do not want to dissapoint our fans so we decided that the best thing is to postpone the Hamburg show to be able to come back and give you guys what you deserve, a show with 100% Rock N´Roll.

THANK YOU SPAIN! |
Three fantastic shows in Spain came to an end with a fabulous day and night in Barcelona.
 Yesterday we travelled north and also had time for some rest and recreation, shedding our winter colors along the way. Jake especially enjoyed the French country side.  Today we are in Munich looking forward to meeting old friends and making new acquaintances. Rock on!! |

TOUR IS ON! |
After about 55 hour on the bus we reached Madrid yesterday at around 4 PM. During the long ride we all tried to keep ourselves busy the best we could, playing cards or trying out the swings at one of the stops or just about anything to pass the time.    The premier show of the tour was great, the place was packed with screaming, happy people and we had the time of our lives.
Today, Pamplona, sun is shining, sound check is done and we're hanging around waiting for the show.

HERE WE GO AGAIN! |
After almost a week of uncertainty because of the extremely strange and unusual circumstances right now, all due to a certain volcano in Iceland called Eyjafjallajökull (who ever came up with that name?) we now know what to do.  We were supposed to board a plane, peacefully, on Friday morning and fly down to Madrid but there has been a slight change of plans. Instead we all board the bus, tomorrow morning at 9:00AM and take the long road down to Spain. Once we get there we’re all going to do our very best to start some seismic activity of our own. See you on the road! |

The Poodles are once again about to head out on the roads of Europe. This time as co-headliners together with classic Swedish rockers TREAT. With them on the journey, as Special Guest, will be another Swedish act, H.E.A.T. Three hard rocking Swedish bands on the roads of Europe for two weeks.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! |
Closing the Books on 2009 - Long live 2010
Arguably, 2009 has been the busiest year so far for The Poodles since the big breakthrough in 2006. We have seen the birth of our third album "Clash of the Elements", which by now has been released all over Europe and with a planned release in Japan in early 2010. The spring of 2009 was entirely dedicated to finishing the new album and preparing for its release at the end May.
The release party was a clash all in itself with friends and press (enemies, perhaps?) gathered at Café Opera for a night to remember. |

At the crossroads of October-November, The Poodles went headfirst into a three-week European tour that took the band from England to Spain and everywhere between. Along for the ride were swedish opening-act Dynazty who helped the band set fire to the hearts and minds of anyone in attendence.
Despite having the tour cut short due to a severe case of the flu that incapacitated Jake for over three weeks, the shows that were carried out were nothing short of spectacular. The tour showed the band that the album had been well received by both fans and criticts.
